GelatoLab Terms

Effective June 5, 2026

GelatoLab is a product of Turnstone Tech LLC. Your use of GelatoLab is governed by the Turnstone Tech Terms of Service, which cover the things that apply across all our products — your account, payment and refund terms, warranties and disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law. Those terms are incorporated here by reference.

This page adds the terms that are specific to GelatoLab: how trials and subscriptions work, the AI features, how we treat the recipes you create, and what counts as acceptable use. Read it alongside the Turnstone Tech Terms. Where this page conflicts with the Turnstone Tech Terms on a GelatoLab-specific topic, this page controls; on everything else, the Turnstone Tech Terms control.

Trials and subscriptions

New accounts start with a 7-day free trial with full access — no payment card required. When the trial ends, you'll need an active subscription to keep using GelatoLab. Current pricing and billing intervals are shown on the subscribe page at the time you subscribe.

Subscriptions are billed through our payment processor and renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your subscription settings; your plan stays active through the end of the period you've already paid for. Payment, renewal, and refund terms in the Turnstone Tech Terms of Service apply to all GelatoLab subscriptions.

AI features and food safety

GelatoLab uses AI to power several features — recipe generation, the cooking assistant in Maker Mode, recipe import from URLs, and recipe suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete, and it is provided for your convenience on an "as is" basis.

You are responsible for reviewing every recipe, ingredient, quantity, and technique before you rely on it. This is especially important for anything affecting food safety — pasteurization, allergens, ingredient substitutions, storage, and compliance with the food handling laws and regulations that apply to you. GelatoLab does not provide professional, food-safety, nutritional, or commercial-production advice, and AI suggestions are not a substitute for your own judgment or that of a qualified professional.

Your recipes and content

You keep ownership of the recipes and content you create in GelatoLab. You grant us only the limited license we need to operate the service for you — to store, process, back up, and display your content to you and the members of your organization, and to send relevant content to the services described in our Privacy supplement (for example, to generate AI responses or build your search index). We do not sell your recipes, license them to third parties, or use their content to train AI models.

New recipes are private by default. Sharing — via a private share link or by publishing to a public organization page — is an explicit, opt-in action you take. When you fork another user's public recipe, the original organization's name stays attached to your fork as attribution; you agree to keep that attribution intact.

Acceptable use

When you use GelatoLab, you agree not to:

  • break the law, or use GelatoLab to create, store, or share unlawful content;
  • import or publish content you don't have the rights to, or infringe anyone else's intellectual property;
  • abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to reverse-engineer the service, its AI features, or its APIs;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide GelatoLab access to people outside your organization without our permission;
  • attempt to access other organizations' private data, or interfere with the security or integrity of the service.

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, as described in the Turnstone Tech Terms of Service.

Organizations and team accounts

GelatoLab is organized around organizations. The organization owner is responsible for the organization's subscription and billing, for managing members and their access, and for ensuring everyone they invite uses GelatoLab in line with these terms. Members can act on behalf of the organization within the permissions their role grants.

Service availability

GelatoLab is under active development and some features may be offered as beta or change over time. We work to keep the service reliable, but it is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, consistent with the warranty disclaimers in the Turnstone Tech Terms of Service.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as GelatoLab evolves. When we make a material change, we'll ask you to review and accept the updated terms before you continue using the app, and we record when you accept and which version you accepted. Continued use after an update means you accept the current terms.
